All files stored on your webspace will need to be related to your website, you will be unable to use it for general file storage.
There are many purpose-built online tools for this such as Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive.
We also do not advise backing your site up to your webspace, as this will very quickly use up your available storage space.
